Dear Diary,
Thank goodness, I am now on a lifeboat, with Ted
and my mum but sadly, my dad might not make it, as it is women and children
first. Half an hour after I went to bed
we heard a loud knock on our cabin door.
Then we heard a voice saying, “Everybody up and put your lifebelts on
then get up to the A deck.” Suddenly my
heart started thumping then I knew what was happening – the boat was
sinking! Hastily I told Ted plus my mum
and dad what I thought. Suddenly there
was an utter silence. Now everyone in
our corridor was heading towards the lifeboats.
Once we were on the A deck I started searching for
Annie Flyn, although she would only be able to get loaded onto lifeboats after
the 1stand 2nd class passengers.
Just as I was stepping into the 4th lifeboat I spotted
her! Slowly she was stepping into the 5th
lifeboat so, I rushed along the deck with my mum and Ted chasing me. When I got to the other lifeboat there were
only 2 spaces left even though there were only 28 passengers loaded. Quickly I leaped in and took a seat and so
did my mum and Ted but they have to squeeze.
Carpathia the ship coming to save us was 3 hours away so I had time to
get to know Annie really well. This was her first time on a ship and probably
her very last she told me.

Dear Diary,
Now I am on Carpathia, Hooray! Annie, Ted and I are all telling stories
about what we have done in our lives, while my mum is sobbing over my dad’s
death, although she doesn’t know if he is definitely gone forever. It turns out Annie was gong to be near where
we are going to start a new life. Sadly
1 of Annie’s little brothers didn’t get a space in the lifeboat due to getting
lost on the way to A deck and her mum didn’t realise he was missing until they
were on the sea. My dad will always be
in my heart!
